Dear friends,
Over a year ago the FAO published a study which confirmed that the impact of livestock on the environment is more damaging than the emissions of global traffic. More and more media and organisations adopted this issue, and we hope that many concerned individuals will also rethink their eating habits, not only just for the upcoming holidays but for the future as well.
The world will be a better place for all when humans stop eating their non-human brothers.
Best regards

Every religion believes that we
should do onto others as we would have done onto ourselves.
Every living creature on this planet has an equal right to living its fullest potential as we do. When we treat animals as commodities to be used for our pleasure we suffer the consequences of our actions. Nature is kind and generous and by following Nature’s example we reap an unbelievable bounty. By not harming animals we open our hearts to their beauty.

Going Vegan has never been Easier
Sarah Florez traces her veganism to a life-altering experience at the age of seven. Florez visited a turkey farm four
days before Thanksgiving. As she stood there with the rest of her Girl Scout Troop, eye to eye with the turkeys,
something clicked. That night, she went home and put her foot down. "I said ‘I’m really sorry, Mom, but
I just can’t do it. I can’t eat turkey this year.’ "

Alyssa Foust was 11 when she made the
decision to become a vegetarian.
"We had gone crabbing, and when we went to put the crabs in boiling water,
that was upsetting to her," says mom Gretchen Foust. "So it started then. I just knew from her personality,
her strong convictions, that this was something that would probably stick for a long time."

For many, late November is associated with Thanksgiving, eating large quantities of food, especially turkey. Children in school make the paper turkeys to act as center pieces for the Thanksgiving table and parents bring home the great frozen turkey to be lavished over on Thanksgiving.

Here are 10 simple steps towards
cutting your carbon emissions at home and work.
* Change the lightbulbs. Replace one incandescent bulb with
a compact fluorescent lightbulb and make a 60-80 percent electricity saving. This one small change will save 68
kilograms (150 pounds) of carbon dioxide (CO2) a year (...)
* Eat local. Agriculture is responsible for
about a fifth of the world's greenhouse gas emissions. Choosing local, seasonally grown food avoids carbon dioxide
emissions from transporting produce around the world.
* Reduce your red meat intake. Studies suggest
producing one kg of beef releases greenhouse gases equivalent to 36.4 kg of carbon dioxide, thanks mostly to belching
cattle's methane emissions....
